He’s still good enough to be picked up by another SL club - Wakey maybe?

Only SL club I can see needing / wanting him are Wakefield. If the rumours about Miller joining us are true they're at least one half back down, don't know if Lino will be still there next season either if they're getting rid of high earners. I can't see him getting in any other SL club or any other SL club being interested in him. Suspensions and injuries last few seasons he's nowhere near the consistent performer we had in 2017.

Gale is a busted flush, should never have gone and was greedy and didn't work out.

If he'd have stayed he had a clear job, he got ahead of himself and put himself in the alpha position (which Cas created for him) and buggered it up. Crack on "Thin fringe" off you pop.

He was an outstanding player for us from 2015 to 2017.
I don’t really get the animosity towards him - he didn’t walk out on the club and we were quite happy with the fee that Leeds paid for him, at a time when he was recovering from two pretty serious injuries.
As for his career after leaving, he went on to captain Leeds to a major trophy win (something we are yet to achieve in the SL era).
For me, he’s still one of the best halves in the league at organising the attack and making the correct pass. His sharpness might not be what it was, but he’s still better than many half backs in SL.

I take your point, he is just one of those players in any other team that gets right up my nose, like Danny Mags used to refereeing the game! Perhaps I have allowed my person opinion to be more vitriolic than it needs to be.

He's definitely not the player he was for us at his peak so it would be easy to say Wakey are the only SL team likely to want him, unless Leigh can't find better.

It may all depend on what he wants and he could choose to become a coach somewhere.
