Such sad news and the loss of a Cas legend.

For Wembley in '86, he and their Bob gave us the great tag line "Cas' own twin towers" which was of course, a reference to the old Wembley and not the tragic event in New York.

One of my childhood hero's and I offer my condolences to the Beardmore family, RIP Gripper.

Kev was probably the only hooker from that era who would have been a bigger star in todays game, in my opinion he redefined the role of the hooker into the role they play today.
He really was that good

A genuine world class hooker, and a lovely bloke who was revered in both hemispheres. I remember reading a piece in open rugby magazine years ago with Mal Meninga, and he was selecting the best thirteen players he’d ever played against. Kev was in it at nine. I think that says all you need to know about his quality as a player. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Gripper, a true Cas legend.
