The shared facilities should be a force for good and enable much more utilisation of a facility, but doesn't seem to help when soccer is the primary partner. RL simply can't compete with the footfall and finances.
Obviously the financial arrangements are complicated, but if the over 10k attendance 'successful' clubs can't make money there is clearly a business model issue. But such has always been the way.
I am interested in the IMG ideas, eyes on and profile is where the money is, it could simply be that there are not enough people who want to watch Rugby League, I don't know. When you look at the transformation Darts went on, the tickets sell in no time it is a massively high profile sport for Sky and well watched in person, but low participation. It has become an event regardless of sport, I would wager 90% of the people who watch it or attend don't play or watch the sport at any other time.
