I dont know about you lot but after seeing the video clips that the club have released i have a really positive feeling about next season, on the grass anyway.
If the clowns running the circus want to relegate us lets make em relegate us from 6th or 7th just to show what a shit show they are creating.

Don’t know much about Lingard but he was highly rated at Batley,seemingly had a good tactical brain and got something extra from an average squad. Maguire looks no nonsense which I think is needed, plus he brings a wealth of experience to the party. The changes to the squad look positive and I think we’ll have far more oomph in the pack, slightly worried about the lack of experienced depth in the three quarters but for me we shock a few and finish 8th.

I just hope we show some effort and determination to tackle. If the squad manages to gel then we’ve got a chance to finish between 6th and 8th. We need to give make it as difficult as possible for the RFL to do anything other than keep us in SL. Play like we did this season and it’s easy for them to say we don’t offer an awful lot to the league.

Hopefully we’ll continue to hear good things off the field too - quicker the stadium work starts the better.

Luckily we have the future in our hands. We can gain more than enough points doing our ground up on our own and with the incorrect scoring added back, we will sit about 8th.

But we’ll only get the additional revenue when we complete the full ground renovation.

On the criteria, London will not be in there next year and Salford I’d expect not to be as competitive without croft and ackers, should they survive at all. Leigh need another Stella season to progress.

RaoulDuke Personally i think you are overly confident. Of the teams around us on the indicative gradings Salford only have to finish 10th to improve their performance score as they finished 11th in 2021, on the flip side we finished 7th that year and sadly i don’t see us that high up next season so we’ll likely lose ground there on them whilst Salford will be fine.

Leigh’s bottom place SL finish that year will disappear so their performance rating will imporve, albeit they will lose the cup win. Their crowd average will also increase so they could move into the next tier there as will their financial results, owner investment and tv viewership. They are also the team that can benefit for an improved digital presense as theirs has been poor up to press.

Wakey’s new stand gives them an extra point immediately and they have every chance of extra points for winning the championship and 1895 cup and also installing digital advertising boards. They will lose a bit of tv viewership this year but also gain points for increased owner investment.

The same can be said for Toulouse with their wealthy new owner who is on record as saying he is willing to invest in many of the point scoring criteria, whilst Bradford doing the same to their slum stadium as we are doing to ours will nullify one of their major weaknesses and they have a catchment area advantage over us. London aren’t even in the conversation with this years figures so their placement is immaterial. We might install a big screen but can’t do the boards and i can’t see Fulton putting any extra money in or non-centralised income increasing given last years horror show.

Sorry but for me our place is very much at risk and it will likely be 3 from 5 with those placings been decided by fractions of a point. Wigan, Saints, Wire, Hull Fc, Hull KR, Huddersfield, Leeds, Catalans & Salford have 9 of the places sewn up. Ourselves, Leigh, Wakey, Toulouse & Bradford are the other contenders for the remaining 3 spots and i’d say Leigh are a shoe in. There’s not much room for manoeuvre.

Personally I am starting to think that the championship would be a better place to be rather than dancing to IMGs tune, More chance of silverware as well instead of just being there to make up the numbers.

TheFirm I get what your saying but the only teams safe are the ones on 15 points. But as it’s a constantly moving total there’s really only 5.

Salford rely heavily on their recent finishes, which is expect to go south of they survive at all.

Toulouse is a pure fabrication, little crowds.

But I guess we’ll see. If we get the planning we are certainly back in the running.
