Discipline and line speed vital for me tonight, last year we gave away kickable penalties early doors and Sneyd took full advantage so we were always chasing the game. If we don’t do that and deny Sneyd the space in the backfield he had at theirs this season I can see us keeping it within 8,failing that if the game is open I don’t think we have the attacking skills to compete.

Not too bad so far. The Salford try just before half time was poor though.

I had to get it nearly right once
Although i did say there is some steel in this squad, they showed us it last night and also showed that they are worth persevering with.
I enjoyed Lingards post match interview, he is a keeper and will grow with the squad

Macca, westy and watts really tighten up the middle of the park but it was nice to see us still strong there when we only had westy playing. At some point there will be a change of guard and these games in the bag will be pivotal for us.

There’s still so much work to do but we’ve got the monkey off our back. Excellent win against a good Salford side.
