pirate Interesting to hear Lam when he was miked up for the Leigh game,the messages he was sending down were so astute and even the psychology of when to praise and when not to,he clearly understands his players and they respond to that. No histrionics,no OTT reactions just a desire to get the best of his team. Compare that to what we were seeing from Maguire,chalk and cheese.

he summed it up in one word, but does he realise hes the coach, i know the team needs strengthening but that display was dreadful, two centres & two halfs for a start, ie now!

We had a problem in the forwards and we brought some in but we’re very poor in the middle yesterday.

Get good halfbacks and then we’ll need new centres.

We have to aim to get better in every department.
