Hoy has been our best player consistently, and thankfully we’ll have Amone and Mellor available for Hull away, which I’d hope will be a close game if we use our 17 better to combat Esse’s introduction. Rooney also getting closer to a return. I’m fascinated when people say Asi/Milnes would be better behind a better pack, well yes of course they would but I still expect them to have more of an impact than they’ve had. Fevs upturn in form has not coincided with improved pack performance but the partnership of Reynolds and Hampshire in the halves, different teams. I’m optimistic we’ll slowly see a turnaround in our fortunes what worries me more is that fans are becoming disillusioned and not being as engaged with the club, attendances at home are down,we’re travelling in ever decreasing numbers to away games and even the posts on various forums are dwindling, hope turned to disappointment, then to anger but it’s the seemingly apathetic phase that we’re entering that could do the most damage. On and off field we need a boost and I think that falls to Mr Jepson to provide with some kind of statement of intent, and that needs to happen quickly as every poor performance will see more of the faithful heading for the exit.
