Hoping this game will be close enough to be exciting after the last couple. Could be a case of can our makeshift back line hold there own,and conversely can our pack subdue the Rhinos who are missing quite a few. Lisone still there though and we need to have learnt a lesson from our last meeting,he’s some unit coming off the bench. Bookies calling it an 18 point game,hoping it will be closer.

Of the players on the pitch for us today, 3 are Sl standard in Asi, Mellor & Lawler. The rest would struggle to get in the top Championship teams.

stuey Pretty much, I’ve seen some poor performances in my time,one against Warrington springs to mind but in terms of effort,attitude,skill and application this one takes biscuit. Unless rock bottom has a basement we’ve reached our destination.

I left at half time. The first time I’ve ever done that. I was already tired enough and there was no chance I could sit through another 40 watching Leeds run riot. After seeing the final result I’m glad I walked when I did.

Can’t help but think telling half the squad they’re not going to have a job next year a couple of months before the end of the season is maybe not the best motivational tool ever employed. Telling them they’re playing for a contract,dangling the carrot is one thing,saying no matter what you do you’re off is another. No wonder most of them looked like they couldn’t be arsed. And by the same token having someone who clearly doesn’t want to be coach by his own admission doing the job is hardly clever. As for our much vaunted defence coach I’m not at all sure what he’s doing.

Can’t blame you,after a four hour drive I think I put more effort in than the team and it was only getting out of the car park that kept me to the end,you obviously didn’t miss much and we should be grateful Hull didn’t put the hammer down the last fifteen minutes or it would have been a cricket score. I was at the Saints game when they put seventy past us,that was bad enough but that was as much down to a superb Saints performance as our ineptitude,somehow this feels worse,I think because of the lack of effort and fight,55 missed tackles says it all and while Leeds who were missing the majority of their starting pack are decent they’re not work beaters.

certainly a low point, not sure when the changes will start, but surely this cant go on for whats left of this season, how the club change it is anyones guess

I think half the squad know they weren’t be there next year. Mental they’ve put the cue on the stand and given up.
The next 5 games, like the last ¾ means nothing to them. They are just going through the motions.
Shows them up of being so unprofessional, which will be noted by any suitors who will be looking at them for next year.
Be interesting to note exactly which clubs will come in for the leavers.

I’ve stood on many a touchline in my time watching a couple of amateur teams battling it out and loved it,I watched the great Meninga and the invincible Aussie touring team showing us how to play the game,loved that too. Thoroughly enjoyed Wigan and KR giving it their all on Friday night.Yesterday within the first 10 minutes you knew we weren’t at it,flat,passionless and depressing which is how I felt at the final whistle. So sod it, on to York to watch Macca strut his stuff,playing with pride,purring like a Rolls Royce,conducting the orchestra and as always giving it 100%. Something to reaffirm my love of the game.

as many as 8-10? More like 3 of that team still at the club next season Mellor, Lawler & Asi.

Add Hoy, Rooney & Quarequare and the rest can all go.

Unfortunately some of them will still have contracts and after that performance can’t imagine there’ll be queue forming for thei services. Might be a few we’d have to pay to get them off the books.

I’ve been looking at the players in contract and paying them off is expensive. Mr Jepson had already said we’ll be spending the full cap next year. Add to that getting rid of the Deadwood, it’ll be full salary cap and what would have been a marquee player or 2.

I agree we need a cleaner slate but this has to be with the new head coach having an opinion. He might see a player in some of the ones we don’t.

So we might have to wait for the marquee players unless we bring in more financial backers IMO.

It will be interesting which 8-10 players, Chester hopes to keep, as I fail to see anywhere near 8 to 10. that are good enough for SL.
