Listening to the interview I think he came across pretty well. Maybe he should have kept quiet on a few things but he was generally full of compliments about the club, the history and how much it means to the fans.
He had his hands tied with the signings - fully aware that the squad wasn’t flush with quality but he seems to have tried his hardest. The writing was on the wall when Chester came in as he says, clearly a change of direction was always going to happen.
There’s always two sides to a story but I think it’s clear that more was going on behind the scenes than we knew.
