IMG grading changes

A few interesting tweaks on this season’s grading system,additional emphasis on club financials favour us,as does the removal of the points given for catchment area,additional points for on-field performance are completely sensible and hopefully achievable for us and 0.5 extra points for winning the Championship will benefit…err…um…well London really,no surprise there. So next season is as it should be,the higher we finish the safer we are. If we have cap space and the financial resources this season would be a good time to use it.

I think Martin Jepson is ahead of the game and these changes largely reflect his requests. I would like to see a projection from the club predicting our best/worst scores under the new system as some of the categories (finance especially) seem quite obscure to the layman. I share the fears that some would like to remove us so a comfortable A grade is essential.

Just on the clubs area we would lose 0 5 but Bradford 1.5. so will be better off.

We also run as close to profit as we can against teams like Huddersfield losing millions each year .

We’ll be fine with Mr Jepson at the wheel.

As I can’t see the top flight being extended to 15 clubs someone will be giving way to make room for London, that’s the end game so our only aim for this season is to accrue enough points on the field and via IMG to secure our future. It’s clearly achievable we are a club looking to take hugely progressive strides while to several of the other clubs around us survival is there only aim.

Extend to 15 clubs and do away with magic weekend would give us a 28 game season so its not really impossible, it depends on who finishes in the relegation spot or lowest IMG bollocks, as the league season pans out we will see the changes come in to accommodate London.
The ladder will probably be pulled up then and the rest of the teams in the championship cast aside, all in the name of progress

I think they’ll change the 15 points and you’re in amount.

Maybe to 16 and then there’ll be enough B teams to fight it out and they can relegate without a backlash. But the teams would have to vote for it and as there’s only 7 teams at 16 or above the vote could be split as there’s 14 teams now.

Plus, we don’t know how the new teams will be assessed for next years IMG grades, as they are too far off to beat another teams except the other newcomer. Plus, they will bring London in on another freebie promotion.
