Hopefully the game will go ahead it’s an ideal opportunity to give a few of our new recruits a run out,however brief in conditions they won’t have experienced before and in some instances give some of the up and coming players some competitive action. It would seem our recruitment isn’t finished yet and we’re still looking for that elusive centre,hopefully we’ll find one, a lot of money and effort has gone into assembling this squad and I don’t think we should compromise by trying to shoehorn someone into a position that’s not naturally their own,by all means use the friendlies to look at options,circumstances will dictate we’ll have to play players out of position at some point but for me going into a new season doing that would be a mistake. Of course the right player might not be available at the moment but we do seem to be focussed on finding a centre so fingers crossed we find the right fit.
