Devastating blow for Fev and their fans being refused membership of the league for next season. For all we are long standing and occasionally bitter rivals,they were a major part of the town and would have meant as much to their fans as Cas do to us, so many of the lower league clubs are ending out an existence,and it wasn’t that long ago we were on the brink, there but for the grace of god. It might not necessarily mean the end of them as a club but they face an uphill battle to survive.

For them it’s about starting in a few weeks time. If they don’t, it’ll be a season off and players and fans move on.

It does irk me that they gave Salford and Bradford everything to keep them going but they don’t want to help most other teams. Not that I have any sympathy for Fev, as had been said it could have been us in more than one occasion, but it’s not right

They are out are they not. According to BBC Sport. Where have you heard they have 2 weeks?

Cas crowds should now receive a welcome boost from the PO road regulars who want some rugby to watch..

Daughter’s mate is a Fev fan.
She said she’d never go support cas.
I think Fev fans would prefer to watch wakey than cas.

Can’t see many of the Fev faithful crossing the great divide,if circumstances were reversed I wouldn’t. Can’t imagine I’d walk away from Rugby League as I love the sport but Cas are at the heart of it. It’s clear in Fevs case the group that applied for the license were deemed unsuitable and to try move forward they need to find investment from elsewhere,not easy when you’re facing a blank year. Not sure if the women’s team will continue to play there but the ground itself needs to be kept maintained and secure because as has happened with other grounds it could rapidly fall into a state of disrepair,again difficult with no income stream. There’s a justifiable outrage amongst Fev fans around what’s happened but unless that can be harnessed into something positive it will soon fade. As RaoulDuke said the next couple of weeks will be pivotal.

As much as I hated running the gauntlet into PO Road I think this is disgusting by the RFL after all the leeway Salford were given last season and continuing into the 2027. I include 10th place Bradford in this skulduggery and fear that if we do not have a mega season we will be replaced by London.
