Not a must win however we need to put in a solid performance tonight, especially with the injuries they have too.

Let’s get 2026 going and pick up those points.

I thought Carr said he was sticking with Rooney at full back,clearly not. Westy starting at prop was a surprise but all in all that 17 should be good enough,Hudds pack fronted up well against Wakey as did the rest to be fair so they’re not going to be a pushover but for me if we can hold our own up front and keep Flanagan quiet our wide men particularly Ravalawa can have a field day if the centres actually feed them.

Good result tonight,we made it harder than we had to at times but some good performances,Stimson who I’ve been critical of had his best game in a Cas shirt,Mapapalangi is just quality and Ashton Goulding was a revelation when he came on. Not getting carried away as Giants were appalling first half and with better decision making we’d have been out of sight. 93% completions is mighty impressive whoever the opposition are. It wasn’t pretty but it was effective and I’ll be fascinated to see how we go once the pitches dry out.

I thought last week was a must win and now glad we’ve got 2 points in the board.

Robinson must have some black on Ken Davey to keep his job, nice fella but he’s been failing for a long time now. But not our concern.

Some interesting calls tonite. How it wasn’t a red for the player taking off maps head. He was off his feet, out of control and a direct strike to the head. A red all week and his ban incoming doesn’t help us.

The hair pull tackle on Golding was a red but just not noticed, surprising when it’s all viewed live.

Couldn’t really see the Hood eye poke or whether it was a foul but he was given a green card when in the first half the ref stopped play for a head knock to English and allowed him treatment before being interchanged with a head knock. Madness really. Funny know if we served the green card or Golding still came on

In relation to the gameplay, we were clunky in attack which should get better over time. So evident between maps and QQ. Just not reading the attacking yet but defensively very good.

Defensively very good, barring a couple of mistakes.
