Another great performance by them.

From what I have seen this season, it’s a straight fight between us and Huddersfield for bottom place, followed by the Championship in 2027, to get London in. Once Huddersfield get their Injured players back, they could well be better than us. Beware Cas, the Championship beckons!!

A very good performance from York,they’re very much playing to their strengths and they’ve really adapted well to the faster format. I’ve a feeling there’ll be 3 or 4 teams down there come the halfway point in the season battling it out. Very important not to be cut adrift this early in the season so it’s important we win the winnable games. Bradford up next at home that would certainly be one of the games I’d be hoping to win for a bit of confidence if nothing else. It would smack of desperation at this point to be targeting games but each defeat makes that more relevant. I’ve no doubt London will be up next year. With the current injury crisis in the game I think there will be a few shock results and we need to be providing some of them.

It goes to show that you don’t need a team full of stars to win. York, Bradford and Toulouse are all showing potential and playing like every game is a final and it’s working.

I also think we lack leadership. McShane has been great for them and I still think we were a little stupid letting him go. His presence on the field and leadership is far above what we have at the moment.

We brought in a lot of players this season which will always have an impact however that can’t be the excuse all season, at some point Chester and Carr will need to be held accountable (and the rest of the coaching staff)

Other teams have shown that it’s possible to be competitive, we need to be doing the same.

That’s why I can’t see York finishing in the top half,injuries will start to stretch their resources and the combined effort from their older members will take its toll. Don’t get me wrong they look like a unified team and their playing style is like a breath of fresh air and I’ve enjoyed watching it,they’ve deserved everything they’ve got but that was a Wigan side shorn of a lot of its creative talent.

From what I have seen on performances, York are the best of the three “new” SL clubs.

However, I think all 3 will finish in the bottom ½ of the table, but all above us, with Huddersfield my tip to finish bottom.
