Cas currently trading as 4 point favourites for Thursdays game,that’s about where I’d be but I would expect it to be tighter by kick off. Bookies clearly not overreacting to the Warrington result.

I am not sure what odds that makes Bradford, but on the basis of we’ve won 1 and looked dreadful and they’ve won 3 if Bradford are odds against it should be like buying money.

I think we’ll be fine and win at a canter.

Hopes moderate, confidence low. I don’t now know if we’re under performing or just poor. Leagues don’t lie over the course of a season, so I hope the former and the turn starts this week.

mdean With you on that,Bradford are nothing special but they do seem more together as a team than us,Nikorima and Marsters showed some quality against Huddersfield and they have plenty of size in the pack but overall we should be beating them but I wouldn’t be confident.

I don’t know why we didn’t go for nikorima. He’s a good player. Injury prone a bit but a good player

Hard to see how we’re going to match up for this game,short on pace outside,short of size in the pack and a lack of creativity in the halves. Valamei looked decent in a poor performance,Mapapalangi is quality so both can add something and hopefully the new guy will add some energy at hooker,younger legs against a big tiring pack might work. Greacen warrants another shot,shouldn’t be judged on last week. As for Ravalawa I don’t think he’s done enough to warrant a place. Defensively we need to step up massively and Carr is adamant we will. Let’s hope.

A must win. Lose tonight and it will be 2 wins (Hudds twice), at the most, for us all season.

Ravalawa has been dropped.and if I’m reading it right Forber will starts at 9 with Joe at prop and Lawler at 13. Probably as strong as we can go in the backs at the moment though I’d love to see Asi and Mappa swap positions. Bench looks a bit light aside from Greacen but it looks better than last week.

Bizarrely enjoyable game,we absolutely fell out of the blocks,momentum seemed to change with the wind and the referee,at times defensively we were awful,then stood firm and then there was that joyous purple patch that blew Bradford away before we let them back into it after Vella had a meltdown and gave half a dozen six agains and penalties their way and completely forgot the forward pass rule. Breathless stuff but you could see in snatches from the team and individuals what we are capable of. More of the same please just a little less drama.

Some weird ref calls and it seemed like a stop start night, though it looked different on TV.

A good win and very much needed. We looked low on confidence, so hopefully this can be fully restored with a win over wakey. We should have a few players back and make a stronger bench.

Left side looking really good and a confident Asi helps.

Right side still up in the air and didn’t help with the injury to Semi. Rava back in unless we can pick up a fullback, move Cini to centre and Macintosh to right wing. Chester didn’t seem to hopeful about finding one. Nice we have the quota dispensation though.

Bradford exploited the lack of pace on our right side after the injury otherwise it wouldn’t have been as close as it was.

Would like to see the amounts of penalties and 6 again calls for both sides.

Quick tot up and I believe the penalty count was 11-9 in Bradfords favour though I might have missed one,six agains went off the charts second half but I thought 7-4 in Bradfords favour but I probably missed a few or even added one in lol. Irrespective that’s a whistle every 2 ½ minutes, no wonder it was stop start.

Hepworth thanks for doing the leg work on that. Watching back on TV. It’s difficult to watch and listen to the poor commentary at the same time and generally go ‘sound off ’. It helps with my sanity!

No real explanations on the 6 against given by the ref and it seemed they look at something different each week. I really can’t believe we pay a different game to the other teams to get pinged so often.

There was talk in the week about the amount of injuries due to the relentless nature of the 6 agains. We were stuck in our line for quite a while in the second half. No wonder they give away high shots and get injured

Thank you Ryan Carr, i was getting despondent but now I just know we will take Wakey apart ( well maybe if we are lucky)
I am also happy to eat Humble pie over my comments about not needing Tom Forber, I would happily sign the lad up and dispose of Hood (age being the only reason)
My take on Vella is that he is the most inconsistent ref in the game, what is a penalty one minute is play on the next time.
If we are going to have the video refs involved constantly they should be calling out forward passes, at least two of the Bulls tries were from forward passes.
We also need to stop resting on our laurels when we think the game is in the bag, we could have done some serious good to our points difference.
All in all a great pick me up and the season really starts now

Forber looked good. Get shot of Hood and have Golding and Forber at nr 9. Get rid of Rawalaja, get Senior back on the wing, when fit, and our back line is sorted QQ, Mappa, Valiemei, Senior.

RaoulDuke I hate watching Cas games on TV,no issues watching the others but then I don’t care as much. Pre game one of the summarisers said Vella was known for giving a bit more leeway in the tackles,not sure if he heard that in the dressing room because he was Captain Picky last night. What is crystal clear is if you have momentum you’re going to get the majority of calls even 50/50’s. All we ever ask as fans is consistency and that’s the last thing we’re getting,too much at the ruck is subjective and open to opinion. Time for the RFL to clarify how long you can be involved in the tackles. Looking back at last night two six agains were called against us and Vella hadn’t even called “held” how does that work?
