Now that the dust has settled a little. where does the club go from here?
Ryan Carr made all the right noises in his post match interview but it getting to the point that we know what he is going to say, I am not bagging Carr, I actually feel sorry for him.
Do we pay off the assistant coaches and let Ryan build hos own backroom staff?
Do we terminate the contracts of the non triers and play the reserves?
Do we recall all our loanees and give them a shot at claiming the shirt for themselves?
Or do we do as we always have done and feast on one victory every 6 weeks and repeatedly state that we have turned the corner?
Like all supporters I am still hurting from that debacle and at the moment cant see myself dragging my 69 year old body from Scarborough to be subjected to more of the same
These really are desperate times.

It was never going to be easy or plain sailing m we had to rebuild from scratch, and keep on. With the signings next year and on what we have this year, we’ll be fine.

Sacking staff and coaches won’t help.

pirate our img score is still way beyond York and Toulouse, it’s also expect Bradford as well. To get us out they’ll need to change the rules and can they really afford to lose the 7000 fans we have?

Bradfords IMG score was better than ours last time around, they were tenth (unbelievably) so they can be manipulated to suit the narrative.
Do you really think we can keep 7000 supporters with the performances that are being served up?

I think Carr deserves more time,I was disappointed when he came in that he wasn’t able to bring in his own back room staff,like minded individuals who were buying into his vision,rather than the existing lot who have had more than long enough to make an impression and not done so. If you’re going to go to the lengths of bringing in an overseas coach on a decent contract then he should be given your full support. If you do that and he still fails,off you go fella but you have to give him the best chance of success and currently that’s just not happening.

pirate we seemed to have miscounted on our IMG expected score but I expect Mr Jepson to get it right this time or he’s trusting the wrong people.

Crowds and results are important. We are working on all aspects as we can see but money can’t fix results which impact crowds.

What I don’t want to continue is the fruit of changing coach after coach. Carr has his head in the right place and will take us forward. It really is time and continued movement in the squad.

pirate I honestly don’t believe that they will try and kick us out this year even if we finish bottom. It would take a lot of manipulation of figures. I also remain of the belief that we will improve as the season goes on. The bottom of the league table is congested with teams on the same points as us.

I agree about Ryan Carr but he should be allowed to build his own coaching team as well as the playing team.
Chester in my opinion should have enlisted a coach before he signed a single player

It’s alright planning to sign players for 2027, but we need an influx of top quality players now. In 2027, if we don’t improve, it will be to late as we will be in the Championship and none of them will come.

Interesting to see the names rumoured to be joining us next season a lot of super league experience there,naturally there’ll be some wastage with the ooc players in the current squad,perhaps only one of them could warrant an extension. I know in terms of continuity you need to be looking at improving the team but it’s disappointing when you’re only half a dozen games into the season and the hint of light at the end of the tunnel is a year away. Equally disappointing that no one from the reserves/academy seems to be competing for a place in the first team squad,as ever they always seem to be another year or loan away before ending up at a lower level. More than anything we need proven creators and organisers which we don’t currently have,aren’t developing and realistically only come with a very large flourish of the checque book.
