Appears the goal posts are set to move with you guessed it…. London looking like they’re going to benefit. The grading change for league position being over 2 years will hurt us too.

It will but the dropping of the catchment area will benefit us. First impressions are that Huddersfield would be the biggest losers.

This thread was always the concern I had. If we make it hard to make a case on the field as we have done off it for 20+ years then you leave yourself vulnerable.

The demise of this club feels deliberate to me, the only people that seem to care are on the terraces.
The team were out on the Ale at Boundary house Methley the morning after the HKR debacle, all smiles and vaping away. professional sportsmen VAPING. FFS
We are year six into the three year plan even though they keep shifting the starting date
I am finally out of excuses for the teams efforts
Its the hope that kills you and at 69 I dont have the time to keep hoping for some sort of miracle but still cant walk away, Does Jepson know what the club means to the supporters or is it just a business investment to him, he is primarily a property developer.

I cant see a way out of this without our own night of the long knives trimming out the Wakey loving deadwood and others

I don’t know what they do when the players aren’t training or playing.

You say that Jepson doesn’t care couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s put in millions just to get here and he wants to take us forward. He’s acquired he’s learning fast but it takes time to find the right people to help. Money doesn’t cure all.

We’ve been waiting 10 years, how long did Kr wait? Leigh? Wakey? Much, much longer and their owners pockets don’t go as deep Mr Jepson.

As a supporter you get to choose to watch, moan, cheer or not go at all. It’s always your choice but it’s in my blood. This is it, love it, loathe it and try and change it as much as you can.

Not going and giving the club money is a choice but I feel, even by being there, getting a new shirt each year, a bit of merchandise and smiling a bit makes it a little easier. We could have been fev if it wasn’t for Mr Jepson.

The difference between when HKR, Leigh and Wakey were shit is that they had a way back into Superleague, but now the ladder is being pulled up and when they install London then Superleague will become a closed shop with no way back for us.
Remember the originalsuperleague plan was for a league full of City clubs, not little town clubs
Show me where I said that Jepson doesnt care, I asked if he knew what the club means to the supporters. I know he has invested millions but he will always get a return on that investment one way or another.
We also have nothing to smile about at the moment do we.
If we sneak a win against York, the sky will still be very gloomy, we need a run of three or four decent performances for it to brighten up a little.
After 60 years of support I have the right to be a miserable twat considering the on field product,
and I dont need preaching to about my commitment to the club, thanks anyway

Not made the last few games and it’s been awful,reliant on Sky. I’ve missed the drive I moan like hell about every time I make it,miss the walk to the ground with my fish and chips,a decent pint,the atmosphere the thrill of just being there. However bad the team are playing I can’t imagine I’d ever boycott fixtures,if you’d ever tried to watch Cas being thumped while you’re in a hospital bed on a phone with crappy expensive Wifi via Sky Go,while the bloke in the next bed is moaning to the nurses(again) and Derek opposite is trying to balance on a bedpan, you’ve never lived. I’d have dragged my drip stand up the A1 to be there. But that’s me like RaoulDuke…hooked. I firmly believe Mr Jepson puts our club front and centre and I’m certainly not going to bag him for his efforts whether I agree with what he does or not,without him it’s the wilderness,he hasn’t just offered hope he’s the only hope.
Anyroad,6 potential returnees for the York game,win that and the sky will be blue again. #COYF

I sit close to the directors box and there’s always a full set of seats, with ex players and staff. Mr Jepson lives the matches like us and it’s clearly not liked when it goes wrong but at least he’s trying. And that’s my point, he’s a supporter whose lives off the team and area that’s brought him back in. We really don’t know how lucky we’ve been.

pirate you underestimate the pull Cas still have in the game. They aren’t going to drop us to bring in London, especially when there are better options who bring nothing to the game. Until we know what the NRL want from the game and how they choose to frame it. It’s all guesswork but Mr Jepson is on the case and it’s pretty clear the other clubs aren’t sure either.

I’ve never moaned about you but pointed out that it’s a choice. Nothing more. Mr Jepson will not make a penny out of Cas and he knows it but if people could help shoulder the burden he’ll be happier and could take us further faster.

The club are in a rebuild.

This “rebuild” has been going on since Powell lied himself out of the last year of his contract costing the club a fee from Warrington for his services (remember the time he needed to spend with his family?)
I remember helping to clear the straw from the pitch to get a game on in the depths of winter, being a program seller cos as a kid i couldnt afford to pay myself in, from there right up to being a member of the vice presidents lounge with my name on a seat in the stand.
I am still the owner of ten invisible bricks purchased to build the new ground(s).
I dont need to be told “its in the blood”, I know its in the blood but after the hurt of the last 4 or 5 years I am questioning my sanity, they still get a slice of my OAP by direct debit but I draw the line at dragging my 69 year old bones from Scarborough to be embarrassed by the on field offering.
It hurts to see the club in such a state, if i sound bitter and twisted it is because i am bitter and twisted over the state of the club.
I dont have the same faith in the RFL that you do and still think they will manipulate the figures to get rid of us.
The results part of IMG is one that they cant fiddle and its the one we are falling behind at.
Ultimately we all want the same thing but its getting harder and harder to “trust the process”

I’m same pirate.
I’m a year older, been going since is was ¾ year old, had a season ticket from around 11 years old.
For me the game is just not the same, it’s too sterile, you can’t blow on players now without a 6 again or a penalty. Takes an eternity for video refs to make decision, slowing the game down to nearly 2hrs instead of 80 mins.

Can’t see us getting out of this mess for years to come if ever.
IMG is waiting in the wings to kick us out.

The game imo is corrupt, how the hell bradford can jump into SL is beyond me. But we all know how it happened, not what you know, it’s who you know.

All this sickens me to my stomach.

pirate Powell gets no favour from me and now he’s at wakey it’s certainly not better.

I also own some bricks, pay into the lottery, season ticket holder etc… in fact, I’ve got a certificate from when I put into a squad builder to buy a Salford prop ( Emmit or Emmott) played well that year.

We are so invested as supporters, it’s sometimes hard to remember what brought us there in the first place. I followed my dad, who followed his dad and his dad. All lived in Cas, don’t now but close enough. It’s not a choice, maybe a penance fair evil deeds!

I do enjoy the ride, the lows mean the highs get higher and I’ll be there in which ever league, even part time. Enjoy the trip over, win or lose, it’s better than being a rhino!

I’m firmly of the belief the speeding up of the play the ball and amount of six against are contributing to the number of injuries. Defensively you can be facing set after set,the twisting and turning leading to fractured defensive lines and players attempting tackles from poor positions when they’re not braced or set for impact. It all goes against the basics of how you’re taught to tackle.

Absolutely agree Hepworth.
Players are human beings not robots.
What these new rules are doing is putting extra strain on players bodies, hence there’s more injuries.
The 6 again needs kicking into touch.
If the ref can’t police the ruck then they shouldn’t be reffing.
It’s worked years gone by.
The NRL is just the same with injuries, it stands out like a sore thumb the reason why.

Hepworth Hard to find stats on the six against but on average the NRL averages about 50% less per game than Super League which is a huge difference so either the players have adjusted to the rules better or the Refs are applying a bit more common sense,probably a bit of both. Either way I don’t think it’s adding anything to the game.
