I think it is hard to judge a coach over one recruitment cycle. It is the same for Radford here for us. He inherited a lot of players on contracts signed up to by Powell, or who are DP players.

DP inherited a lot of dross from Steve Price, and a culture that perhaps needs rebuilding. Binning off the marquee players (Widdop) seems to be one way of doing it and freeing up cap space to bring in players he wants.

The recruitment market is really tough at the moment. Clubs are struggling to make the changes they want over one or two seasons. I think fans are naturally going to have to become more patient, unless there is a sea change in the financial situation over here + development of English players.

Williams was has bad as you'd want to see from your half back some of his work was laughable

He did although I thought he handled the post match interview well in difficult circumstances.

I have a lot of respect for what he did for us but no sympathy for him now. Wire were abysmal last night.

The form of George Williams is a good indicator. After looking a world beater in Australia he consistently puts in performances that you’d expect if he was playing in wellies.

When he negitiated a year off his contract to save Warrington having to compensate Cas, he showed his true colours.
I have no respect for the worm, he is as bad as Solomona in my opinion

I laughed and had no sympathy for him. He cheated the last year of his Cas deal for a “grass is greener” deal. You reap what you sow Daryl, thanks for what you did but you’re now scum to me.

I loved it in 2017 when everyone feared playing us but as a person I lost all respect for him when he left in the way he did and then tried to take four or five cas players with him and he's carried on at Warrington what he used to do at Cas blaming the young players if they made a mistake picking players week after week even tho there weren't playing well Holmes as looked like a carthorse but no chance he will be dropped because he's his mate
Never blames Williams tho he has been shocking especially his kicking game but jumped on young Dean in a press conference because he put in a couple of poor kicks in a game
He's out of his depth now in my eyes

Powell had the choice of who he wanted and was putting his Warrington team together all the time he was at Cas bizarre he didn't want Chris Hill and it seems he's fallen out with Cooper now who looks like he's off to Wigan

How many times has a player or coach left Cas for the greener grass, only to jump out of the frying pan into the fire, It happened to Raper, and it seams it's happening to Powell.

He might do well next season when the club do a Viv Nick, and spend , spend , spend, or he might get his P45 if they don't start climbing the table.

He went gray at Cas, but I can see him getting advice of Galey, to replace his lost hair at Warrington.
