Expecting a tight one today,neither side have been pulling up any trees,Giants have a couple back but our new loanees have strengthened our pack. The betting market is almost comatose and the spread hasn’t moved since the odds went live which is unusual. No significant money for either sides which indicates little confidence from anyone,though I guess that says something for the consistency of both sides. Cas +2 would be my pick but I won’t be getting involved financially. Couple of beers in front of the box and hope my weekend doesn’t get spoiled.

Well you can only beat what’s in front of you and we did that pretty well. Closer than it needed to be in the end. Simbiken an injury a worry he’s been a bright spot and generally our pack looks much improved. And not only did Milne kick a conversion but Asi also made a line break! Not getting carried away because the Giants are poor but encouraging signs,more pace to come if we have both Seniors next week and the new guys will have had an extra week together.

Its nice to see a Cas pack going forward for a change

Asi and Milnes looked 100% better behind that pack

I think we should have gone with two hookers , Horne running at Huddersfield would have been a joy to see and a confidence builder for the lad

I just hope the search for Amones replacement has started and we have options on the two French boys

The pack made a huge difference. Asi even ran with the ball a few times and could be very good. Milnes much better with the boot.

Tbh, still clunky and need to find our best 17 but we’re not far off. Simm did well but senior outstanding again.

Hope the injuries aren’t anything, we can beat wakey.. Wood and simbiken didn’t look good tbh. We are still short a centre, especially with hodson at Sheffield.

A good win and much needed win.

It was a continuation of the improved form we showed against Wakey and we seem to be showing a little more consistency. I’m glad if Wood is not too badly hurt although his ears should be bleeding after his chase back for the Gagai try,your player or not,your position or not,whether you’ll get there or not,you put effort into the chase and I’m hoping when they go through the video analysis DM will point that out.
