Having posted on this thread at its inception back in May,I took the pragmatic approach and said we could realistically expect no more than 6 signings,so now our signings are into double digits and my credentials as the resident Cas psychic are in tatters,but who knew we’d have a management team who lived up to their promises. I’m thrilled with all the developments at the club,even more is promised…wow! We wanted root and branch,we’ve got it, our starting squad for 2026 will be as it needed to be,unrecognisable. My remaining hope is that the new Pathways initiative will bring genuine local talent through at the club because for all the excitement I feel about next season our 1-13 could be devoid of a single Castleford born player!
