Maturecasfan Definitely a new coach. If your up to it McGuire would have least improved the team, which he asnt. We could have the Aussie national team and McGuire would take it backwards. I’ve seen more heart, spirt, motivation and structure down at lock lane. McGuire is out of his depth. He should have started in the championship and work is way up.

RaoulDuke Rumour I heard was that he had to put on weight to play for PNG as he wouldn’t get in at hooker. So a backrower/13. Can’t/won’t lose it and the coaching staff aren’t happy. If Mr Jepson is convinced with DM being the man then I can’t fault him for backing him 100%. Powell got the same backing and did well.
Hepworth RaoulDuke Well that would explain things,there’s no doubt his form has dipped since he came back bulkier from the off season. His main attributes were his pace and energy levels and both seem to have gone missing. I’d wondered if Cas had asked him to do it given we had more options at 9 and he could be turned into a 11,12 or 13. I hadn’t realised there was a PNG angle,that could explain the discord. Shame because he was decent last season.
Hepworth So Croker definitely not coming and has signed a new contract for 2026. As for Vaughan who was another potentially heading our way,based on yesterday’s performance where he was outstanding,Wire would be mad not to give him another year. Not easy this rebuilding lark hope Chester has a list.

Maturecasfan yorky I think we have wrote this year off. Need a big clear out with much better recruitment. Hope jepson allows chester to do his job and gives him free reign to do a bit of spending.
RaoulDuke Maturecasfan Vaughan was outstanding and I’ve seen they are looking to extend his stay there. I can understand after that performance.
mdean Wonder what the DoR scope actually is, we’re talking a lot about recruitment but Chez has been a head coach. I am not saying that’s what he is here for, but a bit of help is worth a lot of pity as my gran used to say.
